PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara, met at the presidential villa Abuja on Tuesday ostensibly over the impasse on the 2016 budget.
The meeting took place behind closed door in the president's office for about 30 minutes.
The president has declined to assent to the 2016 Appropriation Act over what he reasoned was the substitution of some essential provisions by the National Assembly.
State House correspondents who were curious to know the outcome of the meeting were denied access to the Speaker by security aides who said they were acting on instructions.
